Guidelines on the Administration of COVID-19 Vaccines in the Workplaces

With the COVID-19 vaccines being available in the Philippines, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has issued a guideline on its administration to the respective workplaces.
The Guidelines set are applicable to all establishments and employers in the private sector who will administer COVID-19 vaccines in their workplaces.
In relation to occupational safety and health program, establishments and employers are required to adopt and implement the appropriate vaccination policy in the workplace following the guidelines issued by the Department of Health (DOH) and the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) in consideration with the laws, rules, and regulations that are already set.
These establishments and employers may:
Procure COVID-19 vaccines, supplies and other services.
Seek support from appropriate government agencies in the procuring, storing, transporting, deploying and administering the COVID-19 vaccines.
*NOTE: The cost of the vaccination in the workplace should not be charged to employees directly or indirectly.
IMPLEMENTATION AND MONITORING
Employers should encourage their employees to get vaccinated without forcing them. For those who refuse or fails to get vaccinated, it should not be filed against them and should not affect their tenure, promotion, training, pay, and other benefits, among others, or be terminated from employment.
*NOTE: No vaccine, no work policy shall not be allowed.
The DOLE Regional Offices shall implement and facilitate the compliance of the establishments and employers.
This advisory shall take effect on 12 March 2021 until further notice.
