Globally acknowledged innovators in the franchising industry will headline the distinguished roster of speakers that will impart fresh approaches to the challenges and opportunities presented by the Fourth Industrial Revolution (FIRe) at the International Franchise Conference, which is one of the four components of the Franchise Asia Philippines (FAPHL) 2020 happening from March 25 to 29 at the SMX Convention Center-Manila.

Greg Nathan, CFE, author of several best-selling franchising books including Profitable Partnerships and developer of many influential franchising models such as The Franchise E-Factor, will be returning to the country for the two-day International Franchise Conference set on March 25 and 26.
Nathan will be joined by Catherine Monson, CFE, the CEO of FASTSIGNS International, Inc. and chair of the US-based International Franchise Association, as well as certified speaking professional Scott Friedman, a former Wendy’s franchisee and author of many books that promote happier, healthier workplace.

“Franchisers, franchisees and other entrepreneurs will surely get valuable pointers from Nathan, Monson and Friedman on how they can improve their operations amid the rapidly evolving business landscape brought about by the so-called Industry 4.0, or what we refer to as FIRe.

We know that this is like a global christening of business, so we thought it best to bring in experts that will also give us global perspectives and approaches on how the franchising industry can survive and thrive in this era of digitalization,” Philippine Franchise Association (PFA) president Sherill Quintana emphasized.
Nathan also spoke at the FAPHL’s International Franchise Expo in 2014 when the country was preparing for another major development—the Asean Integration. Nathan has been a business psychologist for 35 years and is founder of the highly respected Franchise Relationships Institute. His unique insights into how franchisees and franchisors can maximize their success comes from his extensive research, and practical work, with over 500 franchise brands and over 40,000 franchisees.

He has also been the recipient of numerous awards for his contribution to the global franchising sector, including the 2018 IFA Crystal Compass Award, and induction into the Australian Franchise Hall of Fame. Greg’s enthusiasm for franchising, and his balanced, down-to-earth approach, come from his deep respect for small business owners, and his experience as a successful multi-unit franchisee and senior franchisor executive for one of Australia’s iconic franchise brands. The International Franchise Conference is one of the four components of the annual FAPHL, the grandest and largest franchising event in Asia. The other three are the three-day International Franchise Expo (March 27 to 29), Educational Seminars (March 27 to 29), and a two-day Certified Franchise Executive (CFE) Program (March 23 to 24).

The conference will feature more than 80 experts, 7 plenary sessions, 15 breakout sessions and 40 roundtable discussions that will delve on the FAPHL 2020’s theme “Franchising on FIRe”. Keynoting the conference are Monson and Senator Aquilino ‘Koko’ Pimentel III.
